How to train a youth goalkeeper

Keeping will always train slower than any other skill, 40-60% efficiency is natural, so dont worry about that.

But just as a genaral suggestion I'd say not to commit to the Youth Training Camps too much. In the past I've heard of these prodigy keepers maxing early (5/6 balls,) but also reaching the heights of 8 tackling, hence possibly making a better defender.... Dont get me wrong you may have the next best 3 GKs around, but just take the point on board YTC isnt always accurate.

However after deciding which youths your looking to carve a keeper out of I'd obviously suggest maxing him in the obvious keeping asap, but if a training package arrives with skills relative to GK (noted below) feel free to send him there ;)

Attributes important to keeping (with sufficient numbers of balls required imo) :

Keeping - Max
Player intelligence - 6 and above is ideal
Speed - 4
Stamina - 4
Ball Control - 5
Aerial Passing - 5 - Used when keeper throws/punts out
Set Plays - 5 Used in goal kicks, etc
