Question from thaifoon :
For GKs, does it improve their overall performance if you train them in other disciplines than keeping? I'm thinking of, eg, set play (for goal kicks) and passing (for throws). And how about intelligent play - does that help them read the game better?
Answer :
its a good question and ill do my best to respond.
set plays i dont ever mess with.
intelligence is probably the best boost to protecting the goal
speed, stamina, and control are certainly musts.
as far as passing is concerned, you want aerial passing as those are what he sends out, not short, on-the-groun passes, which the passing skill represents.
an ideal setup for a keeper in my eyes would have at least:
4 speed
7 stamina
7 intelligence
4 control
4 aerial passing
